FINLEY Surname Autosomal DNA Matches to Jacqueli Finley – Paternal side

 

Paternal Grandparents as Orbrie Finley/Bertha Lee as parents of Jack Harry Finley per his legal documentation and his personal testimony. *All DNA Matches presented for Jacqueli can be verified online via ancestry.com, FTDNA, MyHeritage, GEDMatch, Geni.

 

NOTE: Jacqueli Finley’s mother’s maternal line DOES NOT have Finley birth surname direct line grandparent ancestors in first 8 to 12 generation DNA confirmed maternal line tree so maternal line Autosomal/MIT DNA will not be affecting the listed matches.

 

RE: SHAW surname DNA matches to paternal DNA as some are asserting that my father lied about his parents and his real surname is “SHAW” because of these DNA matches and rumors from those who never knew my father while living. This may be possible father’s sibling(s) who had been adopted and/or an additional NPE in an upper ancestral line. Most probable from a sibling(s) of my father who was adopted and are seeking information on his birth family.  Unfortunately the DNA manager for the research involved is only seeking a SHAW connection for my father and not the possibility that the SHAW matches to FINLEY ancestors. As of today there is insufficient DNA evidence to override my father’s legal documentation of his Finley/Lee parentage.

 

NOTE: Jacqueli Finley HAS DNA ancestors on both Paternal and Maternal direct lines – as can be publicly verified. At this time any test kits for Y-DNA haplogroup confirmation for male Finley immediate family members cannot be verified publicly as this information is unavailable because the DNA ‘manager’ for these immediate family members has chosen not to make results public and has alienated contact thus limiting participation between immediate family members over this “PRIVATE” issue that was made "PUBLIC" which is also unfortunate and insensitive.
